About me
Hi my name is Mike Snyder and I have been fortunate to have been a student of metaphysics for most of my life. My mother started getting readings from a new friend of our family that we met after my Dad passed away when I was 7. My mother, sister and I went through some very difficult times together working through life after Dad was gone. Throughout my childhood our friend also did many much needed counseling sessions with me until I was in high school and started to get readings of my own. For over 20 years, this wonderful and amazing woman had taught us so much through readings, healings and metaphysical classes. I went on to business school to work in the computer industry and am very greatful to be employed in a fun job that I've loved for over 12 years now as a tech support specialist. But, I always knew there was more I wanted to do than what I did at my job.
Then about 7 years ago, I started attending the classes and events at a local new age center. It was here where I met the people who quickly became part of my core soul family who gave me the opportunity to start using my abilities to help heal and relax others. All of these amazing individuals really helped me open up to who I truly am on my mission to spread light, love and healing to others. Over the past several years I have been very blessed with many wonderful opportunities to do my work at different metaphysical centers and expo's throughout eastern PA and western NJ. I have had the pleasure of meeting so many great like-minded people in the community who have all become like family to me.
I have been playing the piano since I was 8 or 9 years old but always refused to take music lessons. I always wanted to play it the way that came to me and thats what I've been doing ever since! I have always played my music to relax and heal myself until about 10 years ago I realized the power that was in it. Once I noticed this I started to send healing light and energy to others in my thoughts while I would play. Eventually, I did it more and more often to the point where, the next day, I would talk to a friend (or even their pet) I had sent healing to and they would noticeably start feeling better. I quickly learned a great lesson which was using the power of prayer through music.
I know the very very basics when it comes to music theory, but I rarely read or write it for what I do. I play solely on the feeling of the moment and through intuition. I have several basic cords and sounds that I use throughout my healings. I play according to the energy fields of the person or group I'm working with. Most people I work on start out with pretty busied energies and have a lot going on in their mind. I'll usually start out by playing fast and random notes on the piano reflecting this until I get them to a point of relaxation where my melodies and tones start getting smoother, slower with the notes more held out. Many of my clients have gone on their own inner journeys while listening to the music seeing images in their head or listening to messages from their guides. Many times I too am able to bring through messages and visions for the person or even channel information from a higher being.
What I've found to be very powerful as well is when I work in harmony with other healers in the same room, the music flows into them as they perform rekki and energy work keeping us all together in alignment. Every session I do is different from another in that I could never replay the music exactly the way I did at that moment in time. This is why I like to record my sessions and provide a cd for the client to take home because the music played was based all on their own energy and healing journey.
Speaking of journeys, I believe that life is exactly that. I believe that we all have our own vast knowledge and wisdom that carries with us through many lifetimes. I feel that it is through stillness and meditation that we can tap into not only our own vast knowledge but also into the higher wisdom of the universe all around us. But life is more than just what we learn in stillness, it is also what we learn each and every day. Each day is a challenge, a new lesson, a new opportunity for growth. In this journey of life, we are never alone. It is through the universal power of love that we come together to share with all our brothers, sisters and even spirit guides to make up those trillion individual pieces of the one beautiful mind called God, Source, the mother and the father, that all that is, always was and always will be.
